AFC SUPPORTERS FORUM CREATED

07 June 2018
Author Aberdeen FC Media Team

Ahead of the 2018/19 season Aberdeen Football Club is looking to establish a brand new forum to encourage and maintain a positive dialogue between the club and supporters.

The move comes as the next step of the club’s wider Supporter Engagement strategy which has been kick-started by the AberDNA membership initiative and the arrival of Rob Wicks as Commercial Director.

The club is inviting supporters to apply for a place on the AFC Supporters Forum which will be chaired by Lynn Fiske (Aberdeen FC SLO) and meet several times throughout the 2018/19 season to discuss off the pitch issues.

With the introduction of the forum it is hoped that the club will be able to discuss important issues with supporters and be transparent about the decision-making process at AFC.

Club representatives will be present at each meeting and there will also be an opportunity for forum members to raise agenda items for discussion with the ultimate aim of taking the club forward in a positive manner.

In recognition of the work that has been done in the past few years to engage with their fellow supporters and to continue their ongoing relationship with the club, places will be handed to Dons Supporters Together and the Red Army Display Team.

The club is looking to establish as diverse a forum as possible and with that in mind any supporter can apply for the remaining spaces by clicking here. Forum members will be required to attend meetings throughout the season and will be encouraged to liaise regularly with their fellow supporters.

If interested please apply by Friday 22nd June.
