Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT) is once again calling on the Red Army to don their tartan for the 2018 Kiltwalk!

Last year’s event raised over £11,000 for the Community Trust and it is hoped that 2018 will see the biggest support yet from Dons fans as they join the AFCCT team.

By taking part in the event on Sunday 3rd June, 140% of the money will go to Aberdeen FC Community Trust as organisers behind the Kiltwalk have pledged 40% top-up on fundraising.

When asked about AFCCT’s involvement in this year’s Kiltwalk, Fundraising and Business Development Co-ordinator Debra Christie said, “We are delighted to be working with the Kiltwalk again this year. Last year was our most successful but we have no doubt that with the backing of the Red Army we can make this event our best yet!

“The supporters are famous for their support throughout Scotland and it would be great if they could channel that backing through Kiltwalk to help us provide support and opportunity across the North East.”

The Kiltwalks are a series of unique walking events in Scotland that act as a powerful fundraising mechanism, allowing people to generate big sums of money for their charities. The walks have been designed for everyone, offering a variety of walking distances for all ages and ability levels.

This year’s Aberdeen Kiltwalk route has been reversed and will now set off from the stunning Aberdeen countryside and head to Duthie Park in Aberdeen City Centre for a Kiltwalk Party!

Walkers can choose between the Mighty Stride at 26 miles long, the Big Stroll which is 14.1 miles and the Wee Wander at 5 miles long.
