AFC Former Players v The Red Army
Friday 29th June, 7.30pm Kick-off
Balmoral Stadium, Cove

We are delighted to announce that some Dons supporters will once again have the chance to take to the field with some of their AFC heroes from recent years this June!

The match will take place on Friday 29th June and will be the first game to be played at the new Cove Rangers’ Balmoral Stadium with funds being raised for Aberdeen FC Community Trust to help continue their work throughout the North East.

Former Dons captain Russell Anderson and Steve Tosh are tasked with rounding up a team of former players and it is a task that they are more than happy to take on again.

Russell commented, “This was a great experience when we first tried it two years ago and it was a fantastic way of raising funds for AFCCT. I can’t wait to get back out on the pitch again and hope as many Dons fans as possible come along and support the event.”

King of the Beach End, Joe Harper has once again given his backing to the fixture and will be in one of the dugouts as manager on the day. In the opposite dugout, Joe will be joined by former Aberdeen player and assistant manager Willie Garner as manager of one of the sides.

ESWL, APEX, Central Coaches, ACE/DGM and Haar Rock Coffee have all shown their support for the event and are all main supporters of the day. More supporting opportunities are available, to find out more email debra.christie@afccommunitytrust.org
