In addition to charitable donations, Aberdeen FC Community Trust (AFCCT) and Aberdeen Football Club accommodate registered local charities and community groups by facilitating can collections on matchday at Pittodrie Stadium to raise much needed funds and awareness.

During the 2016/17 season over £17,000 was raised for local causes and it is hoped that during 2018/19 the overall amount raised can be increased as well as introducing equity to the nominated organisations.

The can collection process will now be coordinated by AFCCT with official AFCCT volunteers carrying out the collections on matchdays. All funds raised from the collections will be split between AFCCT and the nominated charities at the end of the 2018/19 season.

Can collection procedure:
• Local registered charities and local community groups are invited to complete the application form and return to cancollections@afccommunitytrust.org by Friday 29th June 2018
• All applications which fit the set criteria will be put forward as potential beneficiaries who will be entered into a draw to determine the 20 organisations who will receive equal shares of the can collections for domestic home games in the 2018/19 season
• Once the nominated organisations have been confirmed there will be the opportunity to highlight the service you provide in our local community order to raise awareness through AFCCT social media channels
• Funds raised will be dispersed to nominated organisations at the end of the season

Priority will be given to applications from charities and community groups based within the North-East of Scotland.

Applications will be processed prior at the start of the new season and the charities/community groups that are successful will be notified in due course.

There is a high demand for can collections and participation is restricted to one collection every two seasons.

To apply please complete the application form and send it to cancollections@afccommunitytrust.org

The application form and criteria can be found here.

Please note: the requirements outlined with the application form should be read carefully prior to submissions.

Good Luck!
