Dons keeper plays for the U20s this afternoon

Aberdeen goalkeeper Joe Lewis returned to action today when he played for the U20s in their Development League game against St Mirren.

He played the full 90 minutes and made a number of good saves.

Joe helped the young Dons to a 2-1 win that keeps them in the second position in the SPFL Development League table, five points behind Hibs, but Paul Sheerin’s side have a game in hand.

The Aberdeen number one has been out of action since picking up a leg injury in the defeat to Rangers in January and was expected to be out for at least three months after undergoing an operation.

However, his recovery has gone well, and he returned to training ahead of schedule.
