Greg Stewart completes Pittodrie loan move

27 June 2017

Aberdeen can this afternoon confirm that striker Greg Stewart has joined the club on a season long loan from English Championship side Birmingham City.

The 27-year-old becomes the Dons third summer signing after Greg Tansey joined from Inverness CT and Ryan Christie returned to Pittodrie on a loan deal from Celtic.

Greg made a name for himself at Cowdenbeath, scoring close to 40 goals. He then joined Dundee and during his time at Dens Park scored 32 goals whilst making 84 appearances. In two consecutive seasons he was nominated for the PFA Scotland Player of the Year Award.

Manager Derek McInnes told afc.co.uk “Greg is a player who I have admired for a while and I am delighted he has joined us for the challenge ahead.”
