Celtic Post Match | Jayden Stockley on RedTV

“It was not the start we planned. It was crazy and unacceptable.

“It was very disappointing because you saw the real Aberdeen during large spells of the game. You saw the intensity that we can play with, the pressing and the fluency we have in attack. But we were 3-0 down before we started playing.

“We were shell-shocked and when you are like that then anything can happen. Credit to lads for getting hold of each other and saying this is not good enough.

“Shinnie got hold of us. We all looked at each other and thought this can’t continue.

“But the pressure we put on them, we needed to do that from the start and not when we were three goals down.

“I thought I did ok in the game but I should have scored.

“It was a great ball in from Kenny McLean and I was stretching slightly, but I should still have scored. There is no one angrier than me that I did not find the net. A player like me should be taking those chances. I will be thinking about that miss for a while but it just makes you even more determined to go out and show everyone what I can do.

“We also had some other chances and I could not believe we were not given a penalty. Goals change games.

“As a team we have to take encouragement from the fact we did create some good chances. That will give us confidence.

“We may have given them a little thing to think about, to think what the real Aberdeen is like.

“We have two big games coming up before the cup final. they will give us a chance to gather some momentum.

“They are two tricky away games and we would love to win them both ahead of the final. Everyone is desperate for the season to finish well.

“We are excited. We want to be part of these big games. But we need to do better.

“The fans were really good. I think they appreciated the effort the players put in.

“It is a big game on Wednesday. We know how much a win would mean to the fans.”
