Connor McLennan joins Brechin City on loan
Connor McLennan has joined Brechin City on an emergency temporary transfer.
The striker will be joining the League One side from this evening until the 14th of January 2017. The 17-year-old should be available to play tomorrow for Brechin in their home fixture against Stranraer. It means he will be coming up against fellow Dons U20 striker Joe Nuttall.
Last season Connor was the youngest player to join the Pittodrie professional set-up, only turning 16 in October. Despite having a few injury set-backs early in his career, Connor bounced back and went from strength to strength culminating in making his first team debut against St. Johnstone last season, becoming one of Aberdeen’s youngest ever debutants.
Connor’s loan deal now brings to nine the number of Dons youngsters currently out playing for other teams: Cammy Smith (Dundee United), Lawrence Shankland (St Mirren), Daniel Harvie (Dumbarton), Danny Rogers (Falkirk), Aaron Lennox (Raith Rovers), Robbie Mutch (Arbroath), Joe Nuttall (Stranraer), Scott McKenna (Ayr United)
Everyone wishes Connor well during his stay at Glebe Park.
