Robbie Mutch joins Arbroath on loan

29 June 2016

Aberdeen U20 goalkeeper Robbie Mutch has this afternoon joined SPFL Ladbrokes League 2 side Arbroath on a development loan.

Robbie will be at Gayfield up until the 3rd January 2017.

His first competitive game for Arbroath could potentially be against Dundee United in the Irn Bru Cup.

Robbie, who is still only 17, is from Inverurie and joined the AFC Youth Academy at the age of eight. The keeper had a brilliant debut season in goals for the Development side, helping Paul Sheerin’s team win the SPFL Development League in 2014-15. The athletic keeper also had a very promising start to the 2015-16 campaign however suffered a serious injury that cut his season short.

Everyone at Pittodrie wishes Robbie well during his loan spell.

Recently fellow Dons keeper Arron Lennox joined Championship side Raith Rovers on loan for the season.
