Graeme Shinnie : a frustrating night

31 December 2015

“I thought we done enough in the game.

“We created enough chances to win it so it is just frustrating as it is probably two points dropped for us. The positives are that we were creating chances and we will take that onto the game on Sunday now.

“It was difficult conditions but we did create the chances and unfortunately we didn’t put one away. I was guilty of one myself.

“They have been different games. Inverness was maybe a point gained in the end and this one tonight feels like two thrown away. We have got a chance now on Sunday to get three there and that’s what we will look to do.

“The whole season we have just been taking it game by game and like I keep saying we made the chances tonight to win the game and unfortunately it was just one of those nights where it just wasn’t going in.

“Performance wise we done well, we defended well. They had a couple of chances at the end but we were pushing to win the game at that point. Before that it felt comfortable and that we were the team that was going to go on and win it so for me that is the most frustrating part.

“The fans are going to be frustrated naturally but we kept pushing and we created loads of chances, that was the good thing about it and now we just look to put a few away on Sunday.

“The fans have been terrific ever since I joined the club home and away and Sunday will be no different. They get behind the team as much as they can and it’s up to us to put a show on for them.”
