Dons clinch 2nd spot
Inverness CT 1-2 Aberdeen, 25th April

A 74th minute winner from Niall McGinn ensured that The Dons would finish the season as runners-up for the first time since 1994. Derek McInnes and his side secured 2nd spot with four league games to spare.

U20s win the SPFL Development League
Aberdeen U20s 3-1 Dunfermline Athletic U20s, 5th May

The first team were not the only ones to make history in 2015 as Paul Sheerin’s U20 side lifted the SPFL Development League title after a 3-1 victory over Dunfermline Athletic at Pittodrie. The title was The Dons first at youth level since 1998/99.

Reds run riot in Rijeka
HNK Rijeka 0-3 Aberdeen, 16th July

Aberdeen were handed a daunting trip to face a Rijeka side with a formidable home record against some of the continent’s top names. However, The Dons were not intimidated and produced one of the greatest performances in the club’s European history to record a 3-0 away win in testing conditions. What a night!

Late winner sinks Celtic
Aberdeen 2-1 Celtic, 12th September

Despite being down to ten men for the final 20 minutes of this match The Dons showed great character in front of a sell-out crowd at Pittodrie to win all 3 points. After Adam Rooney levelled the scoring, the unlikely winner for the ten men came from Paul Quinn, a great Pittodrie moment!

Dons make it 8 in a row
Hearts 1-3 Aberdeen, 20th September

This emphatic victory at Tynecastle was Aberdeen’s eighth straight league win and set a club record for consecutive wins at the start of a league season. David Goodwillie scored a double but the highlight was undoubtedly Niall McGinn’s magnificent solo goal.

Kilmarnock 0-4 Aberdeen, 19th December
