Former AFC Ticket Office staff member Terry McDermott has come full circle by helping the club this year with its season ticket push. Terry, who shot to fame when he was a finalist in the US version of ‘The Voice’, kindly allowed AFC to use the track ‘Hearts And Minds’ on its season ticket video.

Formerly of the North East group Driveblind, Terry is now the lead singer in the band Lotus Crush, who are based in Seattle, although Terry and his family stay in New Orleans. Before becoming a professional musician Terry worked for a number of years at Pittodrie selling tickets in the Customer Services team.

He was recently back in Scotland so he could watch his beloved Dons and he also stopped in past Pittodrie to catch up with a few old friends and chatted to Dave Mac for RedTV.

“It was great being back at Pittodrie. It was a real pleasure to be back in a place I’ve loved since I was a kid, and the place I had my last job before Driveblind got signed and I went to live in the US. It was great to see so many familiar friendly faces and it reminded me of what a family AFC is.”

Lotus Crush are currently in the middle of a European Tour and are playing at venues in Poland, Germany, Holland, England and they are about to begin a mini Scottish tour.
