Harlaw hosts AFCCT 7's

25 February 2015

Aberdeen FC Community Trust is delighted to now have the use of Harlaw Playing Fields as the venue for the AFCCT 7’s Primary Schools Football League

The excellent playing facilities, which are located within the West End of the city, is the ideal location for the Trust to continue developing Primary Schools football across Aberdeen over the next four years.

Scottish FA Community Coach Liam McGarry said “It’s fantastic for the young players to get the opportunity to develop their game within a Positive Coaching Scotland environment at one of the best playing facilities in Aberdeen, whilst also adhering to the Scottish FA National Player Pathway.  It also underlines the commitment and support that our key partners Aberdeen City Council have in us to deliver a top quality service and further demonstrates the positive steps being made to create a better game for all involved.”

AFCCT 7’s matches kicked-off at Harlaw pitches on Saturday and it was fantastic to see the youngsters enjoy the beautiful game whilst the rare north east sun shone down on players, coaches and spectators alike.

School fixtures will be played at Harlaw Playing Fields this Saturday between the hours of 10am and 12 noon.
