Welcome to Aberdeen Football Club's official website, we are delighted that you're here. In this section we will explain a little more about the club which we hope you will support.

Aberdeen fans

If you are new to Aberdeen Football Club, the Scottish Premier League or even to football in general then you are in the right place to get involved and begin supporting one of the most successful teams in Scottish football history.

The club is affectionately known as The Dons, The Dandies or The Reds. The name is also commonly abbreviated to simply AFC. Even our fans at Aberdeen have their own nickname; The Red Army.

Formed in 1903, Aberdeen Football Club has been the sole professional football club in the city ever since. We are extremely proud of our club and take great pride in representing the city of Aberdeen in Scotland and beyond.

Pittodrie Stadium

AFC's home is Pittodrie Stadium; a ground steeped in history. We are the third most widely supported club in Scotland and the atmosphere at Pittodrie is one of the most famous in the world. However we are always looking for new fans to come along, join the Red Army and keep the passion of Pittodrie sky high. Getting to Pittodrie is easy... follow this link for all travel information and a stadium map.

We now run a Park and Ride service to cut the hassle of parking on a matchday and make life easier for you...for more info click here

We are also extremely proud of the clubs heritage and history and take pride in what this great club has achieved since its inception.

For more information on the clubs history visit the History section of our web page or go to www.afcheritage.org

Angus the Bull has been club mascot since 1995. We encourages younger fans (12 and under) to sign up to the Angus the Bull Club which keeps little reds involved and offers VIP events, competitions, games and gifts.

Get off the computer and out on the Pitch with AFC Football Centers! If you love playing football this is a perfect chance for you to train, learn and have fun and who knows...? Maybe you will be the next Peter Pawlett, Ryan Jack or Fraser Fyvie!!
