On the 22nd August 2008 Fraser made his Aberdeen debut against Hamilton Accies and in doing so at 16 years and four months became the youngest ever player to start for the Dons. Although Jack Grimmer in April 2010 made his debut and he was younger than Fraser. Fraser came to attention of many when he stared for the Scotland School boys in the Sky Sports victory shield and Aberdeen had to beat off a lot of competition to capture his signature. Fyvie scored his first senior goal for Aberdeen on 27 January 2010, against Hearts at Tynecastle. This effort made him the youngest ever goalscorer in a Scottish Premier League match. In February 2010, Fraser was named as Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month for January. Out for the season after getting injured in the League Cup tie at Alloa. Fraser has returned from injury in time for the 2011/12 season and has began to show the kind of form that drew so many plaudits at the start of his career.
