Craig Brown was today named as the Clydesdale Bank SPL Manager of the Month for January 2012.

After being presented with the award Craig spoke to the media.

"The award is a surprise and a bit of an embarrassment because Neil Lennon has won every match. I was told that I won it because of where Aberdeen came from. It shouldn't be an individual award; for me it should be a joint award or a group award because I've got fantastic colleagues; Archie Knox who you all know, Jim Leighton and Neil Cooper who work with the first team, two fantastic physios who are working overtime at the minute, David Wylie and John Sharp and tremendous kit men. Everyone plays an important part in the whole operation. I will make sure they know this is a group award and not an individual one.

"We are doing our best to proceed; we have got various constraints at the moment through injuries. Last time I won the award two years ago at Motherwell was more understandable because we had won every game in January. I hope we can repeat what happened then because I won it in February as well. We have got to push on and try to consolidate in the top six.

Craig then previewed the trip to Easter Road on Saturday.

"I counted nine players injured this morning and you may add to that, but I am hopeful that maybe Youl Mawene and Clark Robertson will be okay for the weekend. We have still got main players out when you think of the Milsom's and the Russell Anderson's, he would be a main player if he was fit, Gavin Rae, Osbourne , Pawlett, Folly, Uchechi and Jordon Brown who we know has had a long term injury. The other one who is injured is Michael Paton so we are running out of bodies. The disappointing thing is we have a Youth Cup Quarter Final on Sunday but we will have to use at least three of the under 19's in the first team squad.

"We could do with more creation, we are getting forward enough but we are not getting the final ball. I know my feelings and frustrations are shared by the fans. We will do our best to get a result with the resources we've got.

"We could have an under 19 player starting but I won't be disclosing that to Hibs because their Youth coach will know our young boys. Craig Brown

"I think this game is a step into the unknown for both sides. Pat Fenlon will be wondering how their new players will perform and he will be disappointed that two of his defenders are suspended, McPake and Hanlon and apparently those two did very well last week so his squad is disturbed but I know how he feels, I can assure you!

"It will be a very tough game, discount their league position. Even if you count their league position it may be tougher because they are determined to get points. It makes it a terrific game in prospect. Hibs fans will be up for it, Hibs players will be up for Aberdeen are up for it as well."
