Aberdeen boss Craig Brown bemoans Dons worst injury crisis in 25 years

CRAIG BROWN has launched a probe into Aberdeen's training methods in a bid to discover the reason for the worst injury crisis at the club in 25 years.

Defender Isaac Osbourne was ruled out for another month yesterday, joining a team of stricken stars on the casualty list.

Most of the players are suffering from hamstring strains but the Dons boss was unable to find the cause.

"At this stage only one of the players who have been out recently has a chance of playing against Hibs at Easter Road this weekend, Clark Robertson.

"Chris Clark, who damaged his hamstring against Queen of the South, is awaiting the result of a scan but is expected to be out for a month as well.

"Peter Pawlett, Gavin Rae, Russell Anderson are also out with the same injury while Rob Milsom's season is over after knee surgery.

"New signing Danny Uchechi, Youl Mawene, Yoan Folly and Michael Paton are in various stages of recovery."

SPL Fanzone: Aberdeen

MEMORIES of that black day at Hampden almost four years ago were evoked when a defensive blunder gave our visitors from Dumfries the lead on Saturday.

Perhaps it's a sign of the character of this year's vintage that we rescued a draw from what was another performance devoid of thrust or creativity. It doesn't take Jose Mourinho to work out that setting up to defend against us will frustrate the team and fans in equal measure, and the net result was an awkward replay at Palmerston.

Meanwhile, league business takes us to Easter Road this weekend. Another gritty point would appear to be the likely outcome, but if we're serious about maintaining our top-half position you'd imagine three points would be needed.

The Doonhamers stunned Pittodrie to grab the lead and bring back chilling nightmares of their humiliating 4-3 Hampden semi-final loss to Queens in 2008. However, Jack insisted the team do not freeze when faced with lower league minnows.
