Aberdeen draw with Queen of the South wasn't another cup disaster.. we can finish the job at Palmerston, says Craig Brown
CRAIG BROWN is convinced Aberdeen will avoid another Scottish Cup disaster and reach the quarter-finals.
The Dons boss admitted he was embarrassed by the dire 1-1 draw with Queen of the South at the weekend that sparked a torrent of abuse from the Red Army.
And after giving his stars a dressing-room dressing down he reckons there will be no repeat when his side take on the toiling First Division side in the replay at Palmerston next Tuesday.
Brown said: "It wasn't another cup disaster against Queen of the South but it was a major disappointment."

Brown's down on his Dons
CRAIG BROWN insists Aberdeen will take heed of their Scottish Cup warning after avoiding another embarrassing KO.
Scott Vernon's 11th goal of the season earned a replay at Palmerston after Scott McLaughlin had fired First Division strugglers Queen of the South into a second-half lead.
Now Brown has vowed to win the replay and book a trip to his old club Motherwell in the quarter-final.
He said: "I won't offer excuses because on the day it just wasn't good enough.
"But unlike in the past, we are still in the Cup with the chance to make up for a bad performance — and I'm convinced we will.

Midfielder Chris Clark will have a scan today to determine the extent of the hamstring injury suffered in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Queen of the South in the Scottish Cup.
Brown fears the worst, with the player expected to be ruled out for at least a month. Clark has been joined on the injury list by new signing Danny Uchechi and Michael Paton.
