"I think it is always a difficult tie, that's the nature of the cup. The Scottish cup always favours the underdog and everyone looks for the underdog to win. When you look at the results everybody is just looking for the upsets. We need to take it one game at a time and make sure we do the right things.

"As the bigger team we want to go out and do a professional job and I think if we turn up and play the way we have in recent weeks we should get the win and progress in the cup. If you make a habit of going out to smaller teams then it is always going to get brought up and as I said, people are always looking for the upset on the day. We just need to go out and make sure that's not us.

"I think for a lot of the teams in Scotland getting silverware means getting one of the two cups. I think to make it a successful season you are always hoping to go out and do something in the cup and there is no reason why we can't hopefully do something at Hampden.

"Aberdeen has been great; everything has been perfect for me. The biggest problem for me was not getting enough game time and coming from Motherwell and playing every week to Sheffield Wednesday where I was in and out of the team then not playing much in the last few months it has been great that we've been successful and we have managed to win a few games when I've played."
