Craig did his pre match media conference at lunchtime today and started by talking about the signing of Stephen Hughes. To watch it in full on Red TV please click here.

"I am very pleased to get Stephen onboard. We would still have been interested in him even if we didn't have the massive casualty list that we have got but if you consider that we are without Rob Milsom and Isaac Osbourne from the midfield then I think reinforcements were essential. Stephen Hughes, a player of proven ability has joined us and we are delighted.

"He looks very fit and ready to go, he has been involved over the last few months and he has trained regularly so his fitness shouldn't be a problem. He has got good legs and a terrific engine; you talk about box to box players, well, he is a perfect example of that. It is a two and a half year deal which is excellent as we are trying to get some stability in the club.

"This signing does not mean that Arnason is on his way yet. I would assume that an offer would have to be made before that happens.

"We have a guy called Danny Uchechi here and he has been training with us. There has been a complication in that we showed an interest but we have found that he is still contracted to a team in Nigeria. I haven't spent a fee on a player since I arrived at Aberdeen because the budget constraints, quite rightly, prevented that. I wouldn't like to break that in this case, we have other guys on our radar who are playing this weekend.

"I don't think anybody will be going out. The only possibility will be if Michael Paton is to go back to Stockport. If Stockport declares an interest in him and he wants to go then he is the only one. There was a suggestion that Rory McArdle was going but he is in the plans and very much needed and is playing very well.

"We haven't really selected the team for tomorrow, one reason being that Andy Considine's fitness was in doubt at the start of this week but he has confirmed that he is fit this morning which gives up a good kind of problem; do we put Andy into the team as he has been one of our best players this season or do we leave the team that played well together at Ibrox?

"I was misrepresented when I said anything you get against the Old Firm is a bonus, I don't want to indicate lack of ambition. I think when you go away from home particularly and you get something I think that is a bonus point. We showed some encouraging sides but the week before we drew with Kilmarnock, we would hope to have won that home game. We don't think that because we got a point at Ibrox then everything is fine. Craig Storie

"Dunfermline are capable of going away from home, against a top six team, and winning 3-0 so we have to be very vigilant here. Jim McIntyre has had very limited resources so I think he has done exceptionally well. I am particularly friendly with his colleague Gerry McCabe who played for me at Clyde.

"We have managed to sign Scotland U16 Victory Shield captain Craig Storie on a full-time contract. We fought off competition from Manchester United no less. Craig Storie is the outstanding youth player in Scotland. This boy is exceptional and it is probably the most exceptional signing we have made since we have came here."
