Three trialists arrived at Pittodrie this morning as Craig Brown steps up his efforts to have his squad ready for the start of the new campaign.

Patrick Bengondo is a striker from Cameroon. The 29 year old has for the past three seasons been playing for Swiss side FC Aarau. Patrick has played for a number of clubs in Switzerland including the Dons former European Cup opponents Servette and he has also been capped at U23 level by Cameroon.

Matthew Jones is a goalkeeper from England. Matt went through the soccer college system in the United States. Once graduating the 25 year old played in the US for the Western Mass Pioneers. He then returned to Europe and has spent the past two seasons with Portuguese side Santa Clara.

Jason Beardsley is a defender from England. Jason is a graduate of the Derby County Youth Academy and Craig Brown knows Jason from his time at Derby. The full back spent almost 10 years with the Rams, including two years as a professional. The 21 year old then moved to Port Vale on loan before a short spell in America. Last year the 21 year old was with Macclesfield Town.
