Mark McGhee spoke RedTV after the game and was not too concerned about the result today.

"All over the park we saw effort. Individually we saw some people have good moments and individually we saw one or two whose 45 minutes were convincing. There were two groups of players who have not played together and we had the trialists just in as well.

"There was no one individually who you can point the finger at and say he did not look at it. The goals were disappointing to lose but they were a little bit unfortunate and the score does not reflect the way the game went. We certainly did not create as many chances as hope to be eventually making and as many shots on goals as we eventually hope to have.

"But generally speaking we are not going home here worrying that things are not going to get better.

"The impressive thing about Fraserburgh was that they matched our fitness and they worked very very hard. They did well but we took positives out of the game and I certainly learned a lot about the new boys.

"We are still disappointed not to win the game but that is something we need to live with and it is not something I am going to dwell on. I am looking more closely at the individually performances. I am not even so worried about the shape and things like that. We played a 4-3-3 in the first half to accommodate the players to get them out there. The 11 we were left with were better suited to a 4-4-2 in the second half.

"Things like that are not so important. Learning what the players can do, what the players look like was more important to me, particularly the trialists. For the other lads it was a fitness exercise.

"There were a lot of things for me to see today and it will be the same tomorrow.

Mark gave the example of new signing Rory McArdle. "Over pre-season we will look at Rory in both positions (right back and at centre-half) before the Hamilton game depending who else we have in, or who else is fit or who else is playing well. The good thing is that he has that utility value."

Mark confirmed there will be two teams who play again tomorrow in each half, although it will be different teams to the ones that lined up today. Also the boss confirmed that all six trialists will also be involved at Dunfermline on Wednesday night and there are still two or three players he is hoping to bring in to have a look at.
