Neil Cooper has played for the club, been assistant manager and is now back at Pittodrie as coach for the U19 side. Cooper also played in the colours of Hibs, Barnsley, Grimsby Town and St Mirren, with whom he won a Scottish Cup winner's
medal in 1987.

He was on the coaching staff at Aberdeen for a number of years and then become assistant to Paul Hegarty before becoming manager of Forfar Athletic where he did a fine job but was lured back to Pittodrie and become Youth coach once again.
