Aberdeen City Council this afternoon backed the Loirston site as the location of the new stadium.

Aberdeen FC Managing Director said "We are very pleased that full council has voted to approve the Arena report.

"Now we know Loirston is the site we need to focus on the planning process and to ensure we deliver a stadium that will be a fantastic venue for our fans and a real asset to the local community and city and shire"
