SCOTTISH CUP
Aberdeen will now play Hamilton Accies on Saturday 2nd February in the 5th Round of the Scottish Cup with a 3pm kick off.
In light of new evidence, the Scottish Football Association's Emergency Committee met again this morning to consider the circumstances surrounding the Scottish Cup 4th Round Replay Tie, Brechin City v Hamilton Academical.
The Committee found that Brechin City had breached the Cup Competition Rules by fielding two ineligible players and as a consequence of this breach, the Committee decided that the Glebe Park side be removed from this season's Scottish Cup Competition.
With the back log of fixtures AFC felt it necessary to try and get the game on. As soon as the club heard of the new evidence last night, the staff at Pittodrie have worked round the clock with their various partners to get the fixture on, and will continue to do so right up until kick off.
