PARKING RESTRICTIONS IN RELATION TO EAST END PARK STADIUM, DUNFERMLINE
Fife constabulary would like to draw to the attention of football supporters attending matches at East End Park Stadium, the following parking restrictions which will come into force as of Saturday 11th September, 2004, on specified roads in the vicinity of the stadium.
Fife Council have made an Order under section 14(1)(b) of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, prohibiting the parking of vehicles on specified roads in the vicinity of East End Park, Dunfermline for a period of 4 hours prior to the advertised kick-off time, until 1 hour after the conclusion of any football matches held at East End Park Stadium. Fife Constabulary placing No Waiting Cones on the carriageway shall identify the roads specified. Any person who parks their vehicle on the specified roads, in contravention of the No Waiting Cones, will be issued with a Fixed Penalty Ticket for the sum of £30. Any vehicles which are deemed by the Police to be causing an unnecessary obstruction to other road users or pedestrians will be subject to a Tow Away Scheme, and will be liable to the payment of a recovery fee of £150, to the contracted company for the release of their vehicle.
Numerous fee-paying and free car parks are situated within Dunfermline Centre, all within 5 - 15 minutes walking distance of East End Stadium.
Fife Constabulary would strongly recommend any supporters travelling to Dunfermline for football matches make use of Supporters Buses supplied by their club, which will be directed to the bus park on the north side of the stadium by officers on duty. Any supporters travelling by private vehicle are recommended to make themselves aware of the vicinity of car parks within Dunfermline prior to commencing their journey, leave sufficient time to make their way to the stadium on foot, parking their vehicles safely with consideration for other motorists and residents.
